Narrative
Canzada was a weaver and dyer. She taught her daughter &
granddaughter how to get the bark from trees, boil it to make
the dye. Then to weave the cloth and make the clothing.
Evidently Canzada had Darthulia out of wedlock. To date no
marriage has been discovered for Canzada. Both women are buried
in the Davis family cemetery at Grassy Creek, NC.
Her first marriage ceremony was performed by John F. Greer.
